Pilot phase

Getting started

Costs

Pilot phase – pricing for companies on request. You pay nothing in the product itself; you pay for the AI through your own key directly at the provider.

How you pay

Fine Techs Companion OS currently charges nothing. You add your own key from OpenAI or Anthropic, and the provider deducts the cost of each request from your credit. Fine-Techs earns nothing from it and does not see your bill at the provider. To start, you add credit at the provider (at OpenAI from $5 according to the provider); a ChatGPT subscription does not count for this – Getting started shows how.

If there are paid offers later, we will announce them in advance – and they only apply if you explicitly agree. Companies that want a set-up get their own offer by contract.

Roughly what things cost

Measured in real test runs in October 2026, in US dollars, as the providers bill. Provider prices and the length of your texts change the values – treat them as an order of magnitude, not a promise.

One answer in chat $0.002 to $0.005 GPT-4.1 mini

You see and change which models your companion uses under Settings › Models & budget.

Caps that protect you

  • Your daily cap: in the welcome and under Settings › Models & budget you decide per area how much your companion may spend in a day at most.
  • Protection for new accounts: accounts created via “Create account” additionally have, during the pilot phase, a fixed cap of at most $5.00 per day and area through your key. Once it is reached, your companion calmly says so and continues after midnight.
  • Team rooms each have a cost cap, $1 by default.
  • Osiris spends at most $0.20 a day by default.
  • Conversation minutes: by default at most 60 minutes of conversation per day; a single conversation ends after 30 minutes at the latest.

Independently of this you can set limits at the provider itself (for example prepaid credit only, no auto-reload).

Where you see your costs

  • Settings › Costs shows what was spent today and over the last days, per day; for tasks also with the model.
  • God's Eye shows today's and this month's costs at a glance.
  • Each team room shows at the top how much of the room cap has been used.

The values in the app are the costs reported for your requests. Your provider's bill is always what counts.
