My companion
Character
Under My companion (in the navigation on the left) you set what your companion is called, looks like, sounds like and how it talks to you – the same everywhere: chat, conversation, Atelier and emails.
- Role: assistant, advisor, coach, colleague, organiser or creative.
- Four sliders: warmth, humour, directness and detail.
- Form of address: informal (du) or formal (Sie).
- Voice: “Hear a sample” plays your setting right away.
You can also change it in conversation: “be more casual”, “shorter answers”, “call yourself Nova”. Tick “Two companions” to set Private and Business separately.
Starter characters
“Starter characters” are ready-made characters with their own figure. “Use this one” applies role, sliders, address, voice and figure; you can adjust everything afterwards. Some leave the name open for you.
Your own figure
- Describe: write what your figure should look like and choose “Create 4 variants”, then pick one. This needs an OpenAI key under AI access; the pictures cost a little and count towards your cap.
- Upload a picture: confirm you own the rights. Your companion checks first – no photos of other people, no celebrities, no brands, no children – then turns it into a figure. Only the figure is stored, never your original.
The figure shows what your companion is doing: listening, thinking, speaking or working.
Template gallery: share your companion with others
The template gallery shows companions others have shared. “Use and adjust” copies look, voice, sliders and role to you. You can submit your own: only look, voice, sliders and role are shared – never your data. It becomes visible after a review; “Withdraw” removes it at any time.
Getting to know each other
In your first voice conversation you briefly get to know each other: your companion asks what to call it and how it should talk (more casual, more formal, shorter) and gives a sample sentence. Then it helps with what you need.
