Terms of use

Last updated: 22 October 2026 · Version 1

This is a translation. The German version prevails.

These terms govern the use of Fine Techs Companion OS. Please read them before you create an account.

1. Scope and contracting party

  1. These terms apply to the use of the app at app.fine-techs.com and the related services (together “the service”).
  2. Your contracting party is Mete Han Yalçın, sole proprietorship, trading as Fine-Techs, Mahmutlar Mah., Mahmutlar Aydın Sk., Mir Quality No: 7, İç Kapı No: 9, Alanya / Antalya, Turkey, email info@fine-techs.com (“we”).
  3. The contract is concluded when you accept these terms at sign-up and create your account via the link in the confirmation email. These terms also apply to accounts we create by invitation.
  4. Your own terms do not apply. For companies that want a set-up or special services, only a separate contract concluded in writing applies.

2. What the service is

  1. Fine Techs Companion OS is a personal AI companion: you talk or write to it, it remembers content, plans with you, writes drafts, researches the web and can – with your approval – carry out actions via connected apps.
  2. The service is in its pilot phase (beta). Features may change, be removed or be added. We do not promise any particular availability or feature. We strive for stable operation and announce major changes.
  3. The documentation at docs.fine-techs.com describes which features currently exist.

3. Minimum age

You must be at least 18 years old. By signing up you confirm this.

4. Account and access

  1. You sign in with your email address and a link we send you whenever you are not (or no longer) signed in. There is no password.
  2. Anyone with access to your mailbox can sign in to your account. So keep your email address secure and do not pass on sign-in links.
  3. An account is personal and may not be passed on. Information at sign-up must be correct; disposable addresses are not allowed.
  4. Tell us immediately if you suspect misuse of your account.

5. Use free of charge

  1. Use of the service is currently free of charge. There is no payment function in the service.
  2. We only introduce paid offers after announcing them in advance, and they only apply to you if you explicitly agree. Without your agreement, use stays free of charge or you can end the contract.

6. Your own AI keys

  1. For AI answers you add your own key from an AI provider (currently OpenAI or Anthropic). For this you conclude your own contract with the provider; its terms and prices apply.
  2. The provider bills the costs of your requests directly to you. You bear these costs yourself. We receive nothing from them.
  3. To protect you, the service limits spending: you set your own daily cap per area. Accounts created via “Create account” additionally have, during the pilot phase, a fixed cap of at most $5.00 per day and area through your key. Team rooms and watches have their own caps. The costs shown in the service are the values reported for your requests; your provider's bill is what counts.
  4. You are responsible for managing credit, limits and the security of your key at the provider. We store the key encrypted and use it only for your requests.

7. The approval principle

  1. The service does not send, post, change, delete or pay anything outside the service unless you approve it first. An approval applies exactly to the action shown with exactly these details and only once. What only reads (for example viewing a connected mailbox or fetching a web page) runs without asking; the service classifies this by the kind of action.
  2. For a single project you can switch on working on its own. Before that you are clearly warned, confirm explicitly and set a spending limit; every action is logged. In this project the service then carries out actions within the limit without asking. You can switch this off at any time.
  3. You are yourself responsible towards third parties for anything you approve or let run on its own – for example for the content of emails and posts, for labelling advertising and for the consent of recipients.

8. AI results

  1. You are talking to an artificial intelligence, not a person.
  2. Answers, drafts, research and pictures are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or outdated – even when they sound certain. Check them before you rely on them, especially for legal, tax, medical or financial questions. The service does not replace professional advice.

9. App connections

  1. Via app connections you can connect services of other providers (for example Gmail, calendar or Instagram). This feature is in the pilot phase. The terms of those providers apply to their services; you need your own account there.
  2. We are not responsible for whether and how another provider offers or changes its service.

10. Permitted use

  1. You may not use the service to infringe the rights of others, to create or spread unlawful content, to deceive, harass or threaten people, to send unsolicited mass messages, to spread malware or to attack the security of the service.
  2. Automated mass sign-ups, circumventing limits and caps and reselling the service are not allowed.
  3. Also follow the usage rules of your AI provider.
  4. If you break these rules, we may block your account temporarily or permanently. In case of a serious breach without prior warning; otherwise we tell you beforehand. A block ends all sign-ins immediately.

11. Your content

  1. Your content remains yours. You only grant us the rights we need to store and process it for you and – on your behalf – to transmit it to your AI provider or connected apps.
  2. You are responsible for being allowed to use the content you upload or have processed.
  3. How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy.

12. Liability

  1. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and where a law mandatorily provides for liability.
  2. Otherwise we are liable, as far as legally permitted, only for breaches of essential obligations, i.e. those whose fulfilment makes use possible in the first place and on which you may rely, and only for the typical, foreseeable damage.
  3. Because use is free of charge and the service is in the pilot phase, we are otherwise not liable, as far as legally permitted, for outages, for the loss of data you did not back up yourself, for AI results or for costs at your AI provider.

13. Termination and deleting your account

  1. You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account under Settings › Account. We then delete your account and all content of your areas; backups disappear after the periods in the privacy policy, which also states what remains by way of exception.
  2. We can end the contract with 30 days' notice by email, for example if we discontinue the service. The right to terminate for good cause, such as serious breaches, remains unaffected.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms if the service or the law changes. We announce changes at least 30 days in advance by email. If you do not object within this period, the new terms apply; we point this out in the announcement. If you object, either side can end the contract.

15. Applicable law and jurisdiction

  1. The law of the Republic of Turkey applies.
  2. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected. You can rely on them even if they protect you better than Turkish law.
  3. We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

16. Language

These terms are available in German and English. The German version prevails.
