Voice and conversation mode

Talking with your companion

In chat, click the round Speak button next to the microphone, the microphone on the start page, or Conversation in the Atelier. Then you talk with your companion like with a friend: it listens, answers right away and you can interrupt at any time – just keep talking.

At the top you see what it is doing: listening, thinking, looking into it, speaking or paused (mic muted).

One voice, two brains

For chatting, follow-up questions and confirmations the voice answers directly. When it is about facts, numbers, prices, names, rules, your documents, customers or projects – or something should get done – it says “One moment, let me look into that” and gets the result from your background team (with experts, research and your knowledge). It takes numbers, dates, names and prices unchanged. Sources and details also appear as text in the chat.

  • Everything spoken lands in the same chat as typed messages. Switch between talking and typing at any time.
  • Sending, posting and other outside actions still need your approval. Saying “yes” or “no” works like clicking the card – your own words decide.
  • For big plans your companion creates a project in the Atelier and tells you. The link is in the chat. Later just ask “How far is the project?”.

What you need

The voice needs an OpenAI key. Add it under Settings → AI access. Without a key every voice button shows a short note with this path. With an additional Anthropic key the background team works with verified sources; without it the voice states facts carefully (“as far as I know”).

Reading aloud and dictation

Read aloud below an answer (chat and Atelier) and the voice sample in the welcome flow and under Settings → Voice use the same voice as the conversation. The microphone in the input field writes what you say into the field. If something fails, a short note appears below it.

Costs and limits

Your OpenAI key pays conversations per minute; facts and background work cost the same as in chat. Everything is listed under Settings → Costs. Under Settings → Voice you set how many conversation minutes per day are allowed (default 60). When the limit or the daily budget is reached, your companion says so kindly and ends the conversation. A single conversation ends after 30 minutes at the latest – just start again.

Privacy

In conversation mode your voice goes directly to OpenAI – past the pseudonymisation of privacy mode. What your team does in the background still goes through the privacy layer. If privacy mode is on, your companion asks once before the first conversation whether you agree.
